For carrying a large handgun like a Beretta 92, this shoulder holster is one of the few feasible options. I also use it at the small range on my property.Pros:- Good, quality leather. Takes some breaking in (cover your gun with wax paper or plastic bags and leave in the holster for a day. Then, use leather conditioner on the outside, Galco Draw-EZ on the inside, and holster/unholster your EMPTY AND CLEARED gun while you watch TV)- Very comfortable shoulder harness. Use leather conditioner on this too, wear it for a week or more before you cut the straps to fit (you will readjust to fit at least once) and it will become very comfortable as it distributes weight well.- Quality attachments and screwsCons:- The mag carrier says that it is also usable for other double-stack magazines. This is not really true. The Glock magazines are thicker than Beretta 92 mags and they are too tight to be usable in this holster. I did some research into buying a mag holder specifically for the Glock mags, and the part number for the mag carrier is the same as the part number for this Beretta mag holder. I'm still working through breaking the mag carrier for the Glock mags and then adjusting the tension to accommodate the Beretta mags.- The Chicago screws that hold the straps do not have notches for screwdrivers on both sides. That means that the un-notched side of the screw will turn as you turn the notched side. It is also flush with the leather so you can't grab it with pliers or similar. I tried. Back to my earlier point, make sure you wear the holster (fully weight-loaded so it stretches appropriately) before you cut the straps and screw together, then use some loc-tite and understand that the screws are staying where you affix them.Overall, great harness and holster system. I bought this primarily to be able to carry my 92fs while I'm at my home range shooting my CX4, which uses a common magazine. That said, I can, and probably will, carry my 92fs in this system in winter when I am heavily clothed for New England winter. I have found that using the optional tie-down for the magazine side keeps it well-centered and secure for me.Don't expect, as I did, that you will be able to buy a Glock holster and swap out the Beretta gun portion, using the magazine carrier for Glock mags.Great holster, leather is high quality. Never failed me once while I was using it to carry my M9 in Iraq. If I could have gone back in time I would have gotten a holster with better retention for the magazines. I only wore the holster on the base, never on a mission, so it wasnt a big deal. There is a screw you can tighten to make it harder for the mags to fall out but they are still just hanging there.Love it. If you want to try a Jack Ass, all you have to do is purchase the Jack Ass holster and connect it to theshoulder straps. I had to cut off a little bit of one strap, used black electrical tap to secure the rest of the strap ends. I also put hot water on the inside of the trigger snap for about 10 minutes so that I could lengthen the leather about ⅛", now my 92fs, 96A1 and 92fs compact all fit the holster perfect. Fits my EDC plans.Galco makes great products. This holster fit well. Down side is the price tag on it.It's an awesome holster if the retention snap is in the right place. my beretta 92fs fit but the strap was either to short or the snap was in the wrong placeI like it even dough my 92a1 Beretta its a bit big for it. I wish it came with the belt straps.Good holster. Make certain the fitment instructions are observed. Any doubt, call Galco for details. It fits and looks great!
